Legalizing stupid behaviors

When was the last time you heard a talk radio program that featured two people articulately arguing diametrically opposite views on issues such as the legalization of marijuana, prostitution, and polygamy? You can hear that almost every weekday on radio station KNUS in Denver. When Pete Boyles's show ends at 9 a.m. MST, Dan Caplis's show begins. Pete often stays on for the first half hour of Dan's show. Dan is vehemently opposed to Colorado's legalization of marijuana.

One of the clever ideas of the drug dealers in Colorado has been to put pot in candies such as gummy bears. Though present in highly potent quantities, the pot in edibles takes longer to get to your brain. However, when it does get there, it often causes severe mental disturbance, resulting in trips to the emergency rooms, or even death. There is an effort in the Colorado legislature to require clear labeling of the contents of edibles. The drug dealers are pouring money into the effort to quash the labeling efforts.

You can listen live to Dan and Pete every weekday morning at 9, or listen to podcasts here.
