Reaping what has been sowed

Obama's efforts to kill the coal industry have produced results for the Republicans in West Virginia and Kentucky. A Republican Senator was elected for the first time in over fifty years in West Virginia. Shelley Moore Capito is the first woman from West Virginia ever to be elected to the U.S. Senate. Mitch McConnell was re-elected in Kentucky. He may become the new leader of the Senate. As i write this post, Republicans have won five of the seven seats they need in order to take control of the Senate away from Harry Reid. So far on Tuesday night, Republicans have picked up Democratic-held seats in Montana, South Dakota, Arkansas and West Virginia.
