Obama's former Ambassador to Iraq: Obama did nothing to stop ISIS's emergence

Wow! How did this happen: Obama appears to have appointed a straight-up guy as Ambassador to Iraq! Listen to James Jeffrey: "failure of imagination, failure of concept." "The Middle East is a mess; there's no way to fix it, like we did in eastern Europe and parts of Asia." However, they will develop weapons of mass destruction and send terrorists to kill us, so therefore, it's better to have a hands on approach; leading from behind doesn't work." "ISIS cannot be contained; it must be destroyed." "If we are not in the lead, we will not get the Arab countries, we will not get Turkey, we will not get NATO."

I listen to talk radio host Peter Boyles on station KNUS in Denver. He is on from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. M-F Mountain time. Pete says the same thing as Jeffrey, however he follows with this consistent conclusion, rather than Jeffrey's: Since the Middle East is a mess and there is no way to fix it, let's stay out of there, secure our borders, build up our defenses, kick out of this country the ISIS sympathizers, let the various factions and tribes of Islam kill each other off!

So what do you think? Which way should we go?
